Yankees Prospect Named Arizona Fall League MVP

Gleyber Torres hasn't made it to the majors yet, but the Yankees prospect can already call himself an MVP and batting champion.

At 19, Torres became the youngest MVP in the history of the Arizona Fall League behind a league-best .403 batting average that was 50 points better than his closest competitor.

Kris Bryant Named NL MVP

Kris Bryant has been named the MVP of the National League.

Bryant led the National League with a 7.67 WAR. He ranked third in the NL in home runs (39), fourth in OPS (.939) and sixth in RBIs (102).

The 2014 NL Rookie of the Year also led the league in runs scored with 121.

Washington Nationals second baseman Daniel Murphy was the runner-up.

Mike Trout Wins Second AL MVP Over Mookie Betts

For the second time in his career, Mike Trout has been named the American League MVP.

Trout is the sixth player to win two MVPs before the age of 26, according to Elias.

Mookie Betts of the Boston Red Sox finished second in voting and Jose Altuve of the Houston Astros ended up third.

Trout led the majors in runs scored (123), walks (116), on-base percentage (.441) and WAR (10.6). He finished second in the AL in OPS (.991) and tied for second in steals (30).

Max Scherzer, Rick Porcello Earn Cy Young Honors

Max Scherzer and Rick Porcello were named the Cy Young winners of the National and American League, respectively, on Wednesday night.

Scherzer received 25 of the 30 first-place votes to become the Washington Nationals' first recipient of the award.

Scherzer, who won the AL Cy Young with the Detroit Tigers in 2013, becomes the sixth pitcher to win the award in both leagues, joining Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez, Roy Halladay, Roger Clemens and Gaylord Perry.

Porcello narrowly edged Justin Verlander for the honor. He won by a 137-132 margin despite only eight first-place votes to Verlander's 14.

Two Tampa, Florida-based writers -- Fred Goodall of The Associated Press and Bill Chastain of MLB.com -- left Verlander off their ballots entirely.

Terry Francona and Dave Roberts were named Manager of the Year in the American and National League, respectively, on Tuesday.

Francona guided the Cleveland Indians to the World Series for the first time since 1997 after winning an AL-best 94 games during the regular season.

Roberts led the Los Angeles Dodgers to another NL West title after taking over for Don Mattingly.

Corey Seager Named NL Rookie Of The Year

Corey Seager was unanimously named the National League's Rookie of the Year on Monday night.

A first-round pick in 2012, Seager is also a finalist for the NL's MVP award.

Seager, 22, hit .308 with 26 home runs and 72 RBIs, and he scored 105 runs for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Seager received the maximum 150 points in the NL vote, finishing well ahead of Trea Turner (42) and Kenta Maeda (37).

Michael Fulmer Named AL Rookie Of The Year

Michael Fulmer was named the American League's Rookie of the Year on Monday night, besting Gary Sanchez and Tyler Naquin.

Fulmer, 23, went 11-7 with a 3.06 ERA in 26 starts for the Detroit Tigers.

He pitched 93⅔ innings and recorded a 1.44 ERA over a 14-start stretch from May to August.

Fulmer joined the Tigers at the 2015 trade deadline as part of the deal that sent slugger Yoenis Cespedes to the New York Mets.
